http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_uMVWHAJRsDg/S8650QHj2UI/AAAAAAAAAL0/50ahBL3ICjE/s1600/korea.gifHey,

today we first warmed up very quickly about what your mobile phone usage was like. Here is what we said:

Gérauld has an unlimited text message package. He can send messages at any time. He can also call whenever he wants. He can call for one hour. As for Assia, she only has credit text messages. She can’t call. It costs her €5 every 5 days. It’s as expensive as Gérauld’s package but with less options. However, she doesn’t want to change because it’s more flexible.

Then we continued talking about last time's document and here is what we concluded:

Advantages and drawbacks: (in the interviews)

+ => Cell phones can be useful / practical / handy.
You can rely on them if you are in trouble. Moreover, they give you more privacy, even if people can get a hold of you at any time.

- => However, they can be dangerous. Teenagers can take refuge in them and become lonely. They don’t wanna* talk to people. They lose the face-to-face interaction. Everything is impersonal and text-driven; when students are hooked on mobile phones, they may become isolated / lonely.

* Phonology:
- don’t wanna (US) => don’t want to (UK)

- is gonna (US) => is going to (UK)

Finally, we worked a little bit on phonetics.

You can listen to the list of words again below:

HW: don't forget your irregular verbs + make your vocabulary sheets (vocabulary test on the way...)
