Hey,

today you were only two to attend the class so we did a special vocabulary activity to review the words we have learnt this year.

We'll continue this "game" next time.

Take care,

Mr Hattais.

As there was nobody for class today... well I had to time to correct my last papers...

Awesome...

Tell me if you're not planning on coming for the next classes as I won't bother to prepare something for you...

Hey,

today we nearly finished speaking about the newspaper article dealing with Mexican illegal immigration to the US.

Next time, we will finish the correction and I'll give you advice on how to prepare yourself for the final exam.

Take care,

Mr Hattais.

Hey,

today you took your last test of the year. It consisted in re-writing the dialogue between Donald Woods and the black family he went to visit. You had to write both an introduction and the dialogue itself. I will give you back your grades on Friday.

Until then, you can have a closer look at the mock exam exercise I gave you and particularly focus on the questions so as to deduce the answers to most of the answers.

Take care,

Mr Hattais.

Hey,

today there was only Mélania in class at 8 am.

We spoke about breakfast menus and healthy options. Here is what we said about it:

"to be written by Mélania"

Then we moved on with the correction of the exercise sheet on assignment. Here is the correction:

"to be written by Mélania"

It was the last module lesson of the year for group 1.

Hey,

today we first did a quick warm up with Amnesty International. Here is what we wrote:

"to be written by Sarah T."

Then we continued speaking about our text and we watched two extracts from the movie corresponding to the text (Cry Freedom). Here is what we said about it:

"to be written by Sarah T."

HW: on Wed. you'll have a written expression test in which you will have to write a dialogue. It will not last one hour, so please don't forget your documents.

Hey,

today we first warmed up with a video from Amnesty International's website. You can watch it again below:

http://www.amnestyusa.org/

Here is what we said about it:

"to be written by Sarah T."

Then we continued the study of the text and we particularly focused on Mapetla's reproaches. Here is what we said:

"to be written by Sarah T."

HW: you need to make at least three sentences expressing reproaches ( ... reproach... with ... / blame ... for ... / accuse ... of ... ) using the last part of the text and the last cues of the characters.

Hey,

today we first warmed up about your typical breakfast and also what the English breakfast was.

Here is what we said:

"to be written by Delphine"

Then we continued our activity about how to improve your expression (particularly your adjectives):

Here are some equivalents for good / nice / bad :

"to be written by Delphine / Cindy T."

Eventually we began to review how to understand the assignment in a comprehension exercise:

Here are the new vocabulary words:

"to be written by Delphine / Cindy T."

HW: you need to finish these two sheets of exercises for next time.
