Hey,
today, for the last class of the year, we watched the first half of "The Princess and the Frog". I hope you liked it and that it has made you want to watch the end, in English, of course.
Take care,
Mr Hattais.

I'll see you next week with the results.
Take care,
Mr Hattais.
Hey,
today we first had things cleared up about your assignment for next week = make a book out of your story, i.e. you need to bind the sheets of paper together and illustrate your fairy tale parody.
Then we continued the lesson with an oral comprehension of "Little Red Riding Hood", the original fairy tale. You had to fill in the blanks in the text and analysed what it said.
You can listen to the document again below:

HW: you need to highlight in this documents several elements:
- verbs of speech.
- elements of insistance.
- exclamations.
We will comment on these elements next week.
Hey,
today we began to study a new text. It is an extract from the Da Vinci Code and it will correspond to what you will have to deal with for the A-Levels in two years.
We saw that it was not very difficult since the answers to the questions were already in the questions...
HW: for next time, you need to write all the answers with the quotations when needed.
You can download the exercise down here:

Hey,

Vocabulary in typical fairy tales:
"to be written by ..."
HW: you will have a test on this sequence next week (Thursday, June 3rd 2010)
Hey,
today you had to finish your fairy tale. For this, you had to follow 3 main steps:
- Create an atmosphere (thanks to the description of the places)
- Improve your adjectives (using comparisons and the structure -> "... as ... as ...")
- Improve your verbs of speech and make a list of them.
HW: You need to send me an email by Tuesday with your entire parody. I will help you correct yourselves. By Thursday, you will have made a real book out of your drafts, i.e. illustrate your fairy tale and bind it together.
Hey guys,
today we worked on the text entitled "The Pangs of Love" and we particularly focused our attention on verbs of speech.
We saw how to improve them and how to report speech.
Here is what we wrote in the lesson copybook:
"to be written by Romane"
HW: you need to finish the rest of the dialogue = improve it + change it into indirect speech.
Hey,
today you had to highlight in your texts all the elements concerning the characters, the places, the timeand the feelings.
If you don't do this before answering your questions, you can bet that you will not succeed as much as you would if you did...
It's up to you to do things correctly.
HW: for Tuesday, you need to write a complete correction of the test on a separate sheet of paper.
