The end of the text - How to write a dialogue

Hey,

today we first warmed up again with expressions of surprise...

You are joking, aren't you? 

Attention à la prononciation du /you/. Il y a effacement du pronom lorsqu'il est répété dans le tag.

You -> [jə]   souvent écrit /ya/ dans les chansons ou les dialogues qui reproduisent l'accent (noir) américain.

... and we then continued speaking about the text.

Here is what we said about it:

The couple can't buy the additional options because they don't have enough money (= They can't afford it).

Finally, you had to transpose the text which is a play into a regular dialogue. Here is the example that we took:

Mise en dialogue:
 

Geneticist: Your extracted eggs... (noting the couple's names from data along the edge of the screen) Maria have been fertilized with... Antonio's sperm.

-> "Your extracted eggs ---", the geneticist marked a pause / he paused to note the couple's names on the screen. He didn't know their names. It was the first time he met them.
“Maria, have been fertilized with --- Antonio's sperm."

Attention! Pas de tiret en anglais devant une replique puisqu'ils sont utilisés pour marquer une pause =  a dash ( ---) is used to mark a pause, a hesitation.
