Shooting spree in a school + PRL Present Simple / Be+ing

We first did a quick warm up about topical issues / burning issues. Here is what we said:

--> 1) There was a kidnapping at the commercial center/ mall.
--> 2) There was a robbery at the supermarket.
--> 3) A thirteen-year-old child brought a gun to his school. He wanted to kill his teachers and classmates because he had had bad grades.
A shooting / killing spree was luckily avoided.
At Champlain you had better not be alone.

Attention a "13-year-old" qui doit être attaché par des traits d'union et qui ne prend pas de "s" car il s'agit d'un adjectif.

Remember : Trois différentes manières d'exprimer le conseil:

should / shouldn't + V
had better / had better not + V
ought to / ought not to + V

Then we started a grammar activity about Present Simple and Present Be+ing.
You may download the worksheet here:

Finally, I gave you the results of your super hero posters back.
I may ask some of you to give them back to me so that I can display them on the Internet...

HW: you need to complete the rest of your worksheet (page 1).
