Presentation + Cartoon "Couch Potatoes"

Hey guys,

this is the first post of the year for your class. So let me wish a very happy back-to-school. I wish we will get on well and that you will achieve interesting things in English this year.

First I got to present myself a little and then we started to study a cartoon entitled: "The Couch Potatoes". Here is what we said about the drawing:

The document is a cartoon in black and white. It shows two characters, a wife and her husband. They are watching tv and they are eating junk food at the same time. They both look like couch
potatoes. They are extremely fat / obese / overweight. They may be having an argument / having a fight / fighting / arguing over the tv programme or the food.
The woman may be saying:
"I can't stand / bear your eating junk food anymore."
or "this programme sucks, change the channel for God's sake!"

HW: for next time, you need to learn your lesson and be able to speak about the document for 2-3 minutes.
