Here is a picture to help you remember:
Examples:
- On Mondays, the first class starts at eight o'clock.
School ends at twenty-five past three = 3:25
- On Wednesdays, the first class starts at eight o'clock.
School ends at five to twelve = 11:55
...
Remember:
- Quand on dit "past" on ajoute les minutes à l'heure.
- Quand on dit "to" on déduit les minutes de l'heure.
