Talking about Past Events

Hi guys,

today we continued talking about past events and you had to tell me where your parents had met and to talk about your childhood. Here is what you said:

My parents met in highschool / at a concert / on holidays / at work / ...

When I was a child, I was bald. I didn't have hair.

I had blue eyes but when I grew up the colour changed. Now, they are green.

When I was a baby, I didn't like spinach or having baths but now I do. I liked chocolate and mashed potatoes and I still do.

Irregular verbs:

     meet -> met

     be -> was / were

     grow up -> grew up

     have -> had

Regular verbs:

     change -> changed [d]

     like -> liked [t]

Negation in the preterite:

     have -> didn't have

     like -> didn't like

--> UNE SEULE TRACE DU PRETERIT A L'ORAL OU A L'ECRIT

Then we continued the class with the "tree" of the British Royal family to see when they got married and had babies.

You noticed at the end of the class that on the emblem of the queen is written something in French. What good eyes you have!
