English Day by Day is designed for school students to improve their performance in the English language.
Hey,
today we first spoke about the reasons why shops were open on Sundays and what you thought about it. Here is what we said:
It's convenient / practical when the shops are open sundays.
For the Christmas season, many shopping centers / malls are open; and it's a craze.
However, for the people who work, it means that they don't have a day off and they can't relax. For instance, they can't party on Saturday evening. Even if they earn better wages / a better salary, it must be tiring.
Voc:
- do / run errands (faire les courses) ≠ do shopping (faire les magasins).
- Christmas = X-mas
Then we continued the lesson with the correction of your mock exam. Here are the important things to remember from the text and our comments (vocabulary):
"to be written by Vincent"
HW: learn your lesson and don't forget your visuals to comment.
