Sequence #2 - Real or Fake?

Hi guys,

today you were pretty excited and not focused enough... I had to stop the class like three times! This is just imPOSsible! I know it's hard to have 2 hours of English in a row at the end of the day but we'll have to make do with it!

First you had to look at some pictures and react telling me if you thought they were real or fake and why. Here are some of the pictures that I selected for you:

Some pictures look really fake because they are just incredible!

For example the fish and the cat are huge / gigantic / enormous.

They are like monsters. However they are real. It's unbelievable!

Expression of surprise and disbelief:

Oh my god ! gosh ! goodness ! (Jesus Christ ! Jesus ! Geez ! Gee !)

It's unreal !

It's totally crazy

I can't believe my eyes / ears / what I'm reading / seeing / listening to

Vocabulary:

a plane

an astronaut

a chest : un coffre

the glove compartement : la boite à gants

contorted: contortionné

(to) mourn : pleurer la mort de qqn, être en deuil

a flood : Innondation

Blurry : Flou

Distorted : Deformé

It's quite recent / it's a topical issue

Then in the second part of the hour, you had to talk about other inCREdible pictures, including the IDAHO method. You nearly always forgot the Hidden Context section. You will have to work on it.

Finally, we began to study a text about the website "I-Tomb" and you had to determine if it was a real service or a fake one.

HW: vous devez relire le texte et répondre à toutes les questions en WH- (who, where, when, what, how, why) et pouvoir parler du service proposé et de son prix. Vous devrez être capable de parler du document en début d'heure pendant 2 à 3 minutes.
