Phonetics - Diphtongues + Correction of your tests

Today,

after speaking about your physical education class as a warm up, we continued our lesson on body parts and pronunciation.

Warm up:
Before English, we have 1 hour of history and 2 hours of P-E = physical education

We play ping pong or badmington
According to me ping pong is more tiring than badmington

Here are the body related words that you pronounce with the same vowel sounds:

[e]
: head / forehead / chest / leg / neck
[eə]: hair
[aʊ]: brow / mouth
[i]:finger / chin / wrist
[ai]: eye / thigh
[iə]:ear
[əʊ]:shoulder / nose / elbow / toe / throat
[æ]: hand/ankle
[a:]: arm/ calf
[ei]: waist
[i:]: heel / cheek / knee
[ʌ]: stomach / thumb
[ʊ]:foot
[ɔI]: boy

Make a chart at the end of your lesson copy books with the vowel sounds. Each time you learn a new word with a special vowel sound, you'll need to copy it down in this chart.

Finally, I gave you your tests back and we explained again how to make a hypothesis in the past or in the present. You NEED TO KNOW THAT BY NOW!! We also reviewed some vocabulary. At the end of the year, I hope you will all have had a great collection of bonus stickers!

Last but not least, Tiphaine offered us a very interesting dance of the "in, on, at" style :)

HW: for next time, know your lesson of course !
