Murals in Derry (end of the report) + beginning of the text "Guns"

Hey,

today we first watched as a warm up the last part of the news report from the BBC. You can watch it below:

Here is what we said about it:

Derry has become a touristy city. People go there to see the murals of its agonised past. It's (has) become a historical city. The latest mural / most recent mural is a hope for peace and mutual understanding.
Both communities, i.e both Catholics and Protestants / people from Northern Ireland and from the Republic of Ireland/ adults and children should debate in order to solve the problems. It's the way to go.

Then we started commenting on the picture illustrating our new text entitled "Guns" and on the very beginning of the document (intro down to l. 13). Here is what we said about them:

Picture: The document depicts two men who are walking in the street. The scene may take place in Derry because there is a mural in the background. It represents a soldier with a machine gun. He must be a member of the I.R.A or the U.D.A (Ulster Defense Army) because he is wearing a hood/ is hooded.
As for the two men, they look like they are related. They may be friends, brothers or even father and son.

Text: The scene takes place in Brian's bedroom (l.2 : "from under the bed")
He may put something under his own bed. He has hidden / stashed* a box with weapons, more precisely a gun and "several rounds of ammunition", under his bed.

Vocabulary:
to hide (hid, hidden) = to stash* (familiar)

HW
: describe the attitude of the two boys.
