How to write a newspaper article - I want to be fat again

Hi guys,

today we worked in groups around the notion of "How to write a newspaper article". From a recent article, we determined what the layout was composed of and while reading it we could identify some typical information about the content. You can read the newspaper article again here:

Here is what we said about the structure of an article:

The lay out:

- head line

- catch-phrase

- picture(s) with caption(s)

- paragraphs

- date

- page number

- the journalist's name = the reporter's name

- columns

- first word is capitalized

The content:

- cross interviews

- Story

- Numbers (statistics, dates, precise info)

- A more in-depth paragraph

Here is what we said about the article itself:

"I want to be fat again":

This newspaper article is about Mr Daily who has had / undergone an operation to lose weight.

Now he regrets it because he is in agony / is in pain / suffers / vomits every time he eats.

Voc:

- (to) have an operation / (to) undergo surgery

- (to) put on weight ----- (to) lose weight

HW: finir le repérage du vocabulaire concernant les trois champs lexicaux (food, pain, law) + faire l'expression écrite en suivant la fiche guide distribée (fiche méthode à ranger dans la partie méthodologie du classeur).
