Favorite Super Hero + Superman rocks!

Hey guys,

today we first checked that everybody knew their vocabulary so that you won't have problems for tomorrow's test. Let's hope you will go over your lesson and documents again to make sure you know and understand everything.

Then we continued with explaining the story of Superman. Here is what we wrote in the copy books:

1) Elements of Superman's story

- His planet explodes.

- His father (a scientist) places him in a rocket ship from Krypton to Earth.

- He's adopted by an elderly couple on Earth. The couple is the Kents.

2) The life of the character : two identities.

a) Reporter

- He's a reporter for a newspaper, the Daily Planet.

- He's mild-mannered

b) Super hero : Superman

- He pledges to champion truth and justice

- He's no ordinary man

c) Super powers

=> He can leap tall buildings = fly / jump very high

=> He can outrun a speeding locomotive = run fast

=> He can bend steel with his bare hands = break anything

Finally, we listen to an interview of someone who was crazy about Spiderman when he was younger. You can listen to the document again below:
