Facebook + Unicorn in the Garden (text)

http://strasbourgfestival.com/2009/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/facebook-logo-300x300.pngHey,

today we first did a quick warm up about facebook. Here is what we said about it:

# WARM UP ! - Facebook

(to) stalk someone on the Internet
(to) create a facebook account
(to) display / expose your personal information on the Net
(to) chat with people

For Samira, Facebook is like a second life.

________________

# THE UNICORN IN THE GARDEN

If I saw a unicorn in my garden, I would :

- think I'm crazy
- call my parents to reassure myself
- want it to give me its power
- believe I'm dreaming
- try to ride it.

Finally, we continued reading the text and we analysed the moods / behaviours of the characters. Here is what we said about them:

"to be written by Romane"

You also had to take all the dialogue parts out and add / replace verb speech to express better the feelings of the characters and the way they speak:

_________________

* "There's a unicorn in the garden" he screamed.
* "Eating roses" he yelled.
* "The unicorn is a mythical beast" she replied in a grumpy voice.
* "Here, unicorn" begged the man in a quiet / soft voice.
* "The unicorn ate a lily" said the man in a convincing voice.
* "You're a booby" she said emotionlessly.
* "and I am going to have you put in the booby-hatch" she said clearly.
* "We'll see about that" he said in a cold voice.
* "He had a golden horn in the middle of his forehead" he added.

HW: you need to finish upgrading the last cues from the first half of the text with enhanced speech verbs and expressions (2 expressions minimum per sentence)
