English Day by Day is designed for school students to improve their performance in the English language.
Hi guys,
today we first made a recap of what we had said yesterday about collections and we corrected your homework (word search about collections).
Then we continued the lesson with the description of Mount Rushmore, in South Dakota (in the North and in the center of the USA).
We learned how to read and pronounce a date correctly. Here is what we wrote:
How to read the date in English:
George Washington (1732-1799)
17/32 = seventeen / thirty-two -> The date when he was born
17/99 = seventeen / ninety-nine -> The date when he died
Other example: 18/09 -> eighteen / "o" nine
Vocab:
a pet (a dog, a cat, ...) / a wild animal (a lion, a kangaroo, ...)
