Hey,
today we first did a quick warm up about Lady Gaga's latest scandal. Here is what we said:
Exprimer l'étonnement:
Are you crazy? (nuts / mad)
You must be crazy!
I can't believe my eyes!
It's so strange (weird / odd)
For the MTV music awards ceremony, Lady Gaga was provocative. She didn't wear clothes but meat (animal flesh). Instead of wearing regular clothes, she wore flesh. People were both offended and surprised (shocked and flabbergasted).
Then we continued studying the text entitled "Reality Television". We corrected your worksheet and here is what we said:
The series "Survivor" first took place in the South China Sea on May 31st, 2000. There were 16 competitors (contestants / candidates) and the winner was Mr Latch. He won $1 million.
The series "Big Brother" first took place during the summer of 2000 in CBS' parking lot, that is to say in the US. A group of strangers was locked up in a house and filmed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (24/7). The live feeds were available only on the Internet.
At the beginning, the show didn't have as much success as Survivor. But soon, it became a craze / a huge success / it became really successful / popular.
