About the play... + The Unicorn in the Garden

Hey,

today we first did a quick warm up about the play that you went to see yesterday and where I was chaperonning you. Here is what we said about it:

Yesterday, the play was sometimes boring because it was difficult to understand the actors.
It must have been difficult to remember the text. It was impressive. They must have rehearsed a lot, or maybe they had earphones with someone helping them.
However, it was interesting. At least, more interesting than the book. It was more easily understandable thanks to the mimes and the live performance of the actors on stage.

Then we continued our "good ingredients list" for a perfect fairy tale and we finished by scanning the text entitled "The Unicorn in the Garden". You had to find why or why not this story was a fairy tale. Here are the "ingredients" and the reasons of your choice:

The text looks like a fairy tale at first sight.
Indeed, the structure is similar to a fairy tale and there is magic with the unicorn. There is also an evil character who seems to be the wife.
NONETHELESS / NEVERTHELESS, this story is not a real fairy tale. It's a parody. Some important elements are subverted, like the happy ending when only one character "lives happily ever after". It's not the typical ending of a tale!

We finally finished the class with a little memory game.
