Presentation + Michael Jackson's burial

Today was the first class I had with you guys so we introduced ourselves and I gave you out a copy of the rules that will be followed in English.

We then talked a little about Michael Jackson's burial and needed to review wh- questions :

Who --> porte sur la personne
Where --> porte sur le lieu
When --> porte sur le temps
What happened --> porte sur les faits

what happened : he was buried / fires in the North of L.A.
who : Michael Jackson's family and friends, the police
where : Los Angeles (attention à la prononciation), California
when : yesterday at 7 p.m. local time, this morning at 4 a.m. in Paris, more than 2 months after he died.

Quand vous êtes face à un sujet, il faut toujours essayer de dégager une problématique, un angle d'attaque intéressant pour aborder le sujet. Ici, nous avons choisi l'étonnement et l'incompréhension concernant la star.

"I find it shocking to know that he was buried only yesterday, more than two months after he died. To my mind, it is really weird. I also believe it is strange that so many policemen were present when they should be at work with the fires. They should help evacuate people in danger instead of protecting the dead body".
