It refers to "Bloody Sunday" when a lot of blood was shed. But it also refers to the swearword like in the phrase "Bloody Hell" which shows the singers are<br /> exasperated/ fed up with the situation in Ireladn. They can't stand it anymore.<br /> The drums allude to the drums of the army before a battle but also to the sound of bullets/ machine guns.<br /> <br /> <br />
