Wednesday, November 25th Group 1

First we did a recap of the lesson we did on Wednesday, October 21st:

What was the video about ? A job interview

The question was “Why don’t you tell me about yourself ?”

The dos

The don’ts

A job applicant must show she/he has read the job description.

A job applicant must speak about herself/himself in a professional context.

A job applicant mustn’t speak about his/her personal life.

Then we listened to another job interview. The question was: What are your strengths ?

We did an oral comprehension exercice. We had to find the missing words in the script of the interview.

A Job Interview #2:

Going For An Interview:
Job Interviews: What Are Your Strengths?

STRENGTH ≠ WEAKNESS   ← Nouns

STRONG ≠ WEAK              ← Adjectives

Vocabulaire

To handle : traiter

The kind of : le type de

To climb : escalader

Assets : atouts

Lazy : paresseux

Software : logiciel

Actually (faux ami) : en fait

Currently : actuellement

Here is the script of the interview (click on the pictogram):

Thank you Fatou for your notes, nicely and accurately written.
