Warm up (Burger) + How to build an essay

Hey,

today we first warmed up with a picture of a hamburger:

Here is what we said about it:

The picture represents a hamburger / burger

It looks delicious / tasty / yummy / appetizing / mouth-watering

However, I know it is bad for health
It's high in fat and calories
I usually go to the Mac Donald's once a week.
I think it's not an unhealthy diet if you go there only once a week.


Then we continued the lesson with an exercise p. 120 from your books. As many of you didn't have their books, they had to write an essay on the following question:
"How do you explain the success of fast-food restaurants? Personally, do you enjoy going there? Why or why not?"



HW: for next time, remember that you have a story to turn in about Saint Valentine's Day.
+ Re-order the paragraph from your books p. 120 exercise N° 1 - 2) (about fast food).
+ In this essay, highlight all the link words (mots de liaison), and the vocabulary dealing with food and health.
