Understanding a completely foreign language

Hi guys,

today after making a quick recap about last time's lesson, we then expanded it a little bit. Here is what we said: 

Grammar:
Who (personne)
Which (objet/chose)
ex:

- It's the cover of a magazine which was probably published during the Xmas season.
- There's a man who is lying on the floor
- It's his wife who found the body / the corpse


Hypotheses:
I guess the woman might have killed her husband but as she is shocked it is
improbable.
I'd rather say that she heard a noise when she was sleeping. A thief must have tried to steal the Xmas gifts; he attacked the husband and killed him.
His wife may have grabbed a gun to protect herself.

Then we continued the class with a set a methology exercises on how to understand text. As you could see, even if it was in Czech you could grab the general meaning and even more thanks to logic and concentration.
