Travelling abroad + Writing workshop

Hey today,

we first warmed up about travelling abroad and here is what we said:

"to be written by Jérôme Slangen"

Then I helped everyone of you individually with their poems and how to improve them.
You need to pay attention to the appeal to the 5 senses and let you creativity be !

HW: For next Tuesday, you need to prepare a visual (image or video montage) or a melody for your poem / song. For tomorrow, you need to read text #3 p. 29 and be able to speak about orally at the beginning of the class.

NB: if you want to send me your poems / songs before Tuesday so that I can help you improve them again, feel free to do so. I'll help you correct the grammar and guide you towards perfection =)
Bonsoir,

pouvez-vous me dire comment je peux améliorer le poème qui est à rendre pour mardi svp.

"All these eyes on me
A lot of hatred and resentment;
All these eyes on me
Which actually betray the fear.
In front, all the whites
Who whithout remorse spit at us.
In front, all the whites
Who would deserve to on their knees
They just look at my skin the picket's color (je ne sais pas comment je peux changer la fin de ce vers ...)
They threaten us with their sentences
They molest us with their whips
And I just know the smell of blood
Which remind me the lynching party
But if they opened my heart,
They would accept me among them.
A deep despair seizes me before
But the music in the future makes me stronger."

Merci d'avance.

Hey Eliott,

here is a possible correction:

"All these eyes on me
A lot of hatred and resentment;
All these eyes on me
Which actually betray the fear.
In front, all the whites
Who whithout remorse spit at us.
In front, all the whites
Who would deserve to BE on their knees.
They threaten us with their sentences
They molest us with their whips
And I just know the smell of blood
Which remindS me OF the lynching partIES
But if they opened my heart, = proposition = but if they ripped my heart open = "s'ils ouvraient mon cœur en le déchirant"
They would accept me among them.
A deep despair seizes me before ICI il manque un complément après "before" ou alors je ne comprends pas...
But the music in the future makes me stronger."

Quite a good job though!
Il faudrait pour rendre ce poème parfait (en fonction des critères demandés...) que tu t'appliques à mettre davantage de termes qui permettent d'entendre la scène se dérouler. Tu as bien travaillé

See you on Tuesday.
Take care,

M. Hattais.
