Daphne presented  an article to the class which dealt with Samsung’s earnings.

The article was published in the New York Times, on October 5^th 2009.

It was about Samsung future earnigns. Samsung is the world top maker of memory chips and flat screen TVs.

Samsung forecast higher earnings thanks to their marketing strategy. The market of memory chips has been emerging for 2 years due to mobile phones and TVs.

Moreover, they spend more money on marketing, that’s why they have a good place on the market.

Solutions:

Ecology means taking care of the environment (with environmentally-friendly products or behaviour)

Sustainable development means living on the planet without taking more than can be replaced

Fair trade means protecting small producers, farmers from developing countries by allowing them to sell their productions.

To guarantee the protection of the environment countries have signed agreements.
