Thursday November, 12th

First we did a quiz  about the quantifiers.

Then we did a recap of what we did last week.

What did we speak about?

We spoke about:

OVERTIME = les heures supplémentaires.

Overtime  is when employees do extra work.

Overtime is when employees do long hours

Overtime is when employees work more than the normal time

Debate : The 35 hour-work week

Arguments

Arguments AGAINST

EMPLOYERS

Because employees are exhausted and don’t work as well they would if they worked less.

Their charges are higher.

EMPLOYEES

Employees have more time for their families, for their leisure.

It allows them to fight against unemployment by hiring more people to share wealth.

They have to work more quickly and more efficiently.

Consequences of long hours on employees:

Health issues
