Theodore Roosevelt had 5 / many / a lot of baby bears. They are not pets. They are wild ferocious animals.
Thomas Jefferson had a bird, many dogs, and a bear cub.
NB: A pet lives at home.

Grammar:
HAD = has / have au passé
many / a lot of = remplace un chiffre pour indiquer une grande quantité
a few = remplace un chiffre pour indiquer une petite quantité
