The ironic message from the school

Hey,

today we first warmed up with some arguments in favour of long holidays. Here is what we said:

The longer the vacation, the more money you earn if you have a summer job.

Then we continued speaking about the structure: "the more ..., the more ..." or "the ...-er ..., the ...-er ..." (l'accroissement parallèle "plus ..., plus ...").

Here are some extra sentences we made:

The more money I earn, the happier I am.

The more English I learn , the better I speak.

The more food I eat, the more I want to eat / the greedier I am / the fatter I become.

NB:
"the more + adjectif long" ou "the -er" (adjectif court) -> structure répétée en début de proposition.
