The Historical Truth + explanations of one of the Guilford Four victims

Hey,

today we first did a quick recap about the event (Guilford bombing) and the responsibility in this case; what the intention of the I.R.A. was; and who was accused instead of the I.R.A.

Here is what we wrote:

In 1974, the I.R.A planted a bomb / was reponsible for the bomb in the pub but a group of 4 men were accused of / charged with / blamed for the attack. (accusés par des preuves)

Fact: They made the pub explode.

Goal: The I.R.A made the pub explode in order to give Protestants and the British government a warning. It's a form of blackmail. They were unfairly / wrongfully accused.

Additional Vocabulary: Verbs to express fear -> scare / frighten / blackmail / threaten / menace.

Grammar: Prep + V-ing
Verbe + with / for / of ... (prep) = toujours suivi de V-ing ou groupe nominal

Then we continued on talking about historical facts and we filled in the blanks in the text entitled "The Historical Truth". Here is the correction:

Finally, we watched a new scene from the film "In the Name of the Father", in which one of the characters goes back over some past events in his life in order to explain how he was accused of planting the bomb. You can watch the extract below:
