Super Heroes, you said... Super Heroes...?

http://blog.writersdigest.com/norules/content/binary/2085414420_332ecb50d0_o.gifHey,

today you first took a vocabulary test about super heroes and their outfit. Then we finished filling in the chart about super heroes and their background.

Here is what we added in the lesson:

Batman looks intimidating. He makes people scared.

Bruce Wayne has decided to become Batman because he saw / witnessed the murder of his parents. He wants to take his revenge.

Contrary to Peter Parker, Bruce Wayne is not shy. He is bolt and confident. He is wealthy and he likes to help people. He is a philanthropist.

NB:

Pour donner un nom de métier, une activité, on met toujours "a" ou "an" devant (ex : Peter Parker is a reporter and a  photographer)

Pour exprimer la capacité on utilise "can" (forme phonétique faible) ou "be able to" / "have the ability to". Il faut bien sûr conjuguer les verbes à la personne et au temps adéquats.

Vocabulary:

(syn.) (to) jump = (to) leap, (to) spring
(syn.) clever = ingenious, smart, shred, intelligent

Finally we worked on phonetics. Here is the list of words that you need to know how to pronounce correctly:

"to be written by Laura"

HW: You need to get prepared to talk about the three super heroes without looking at your notes.
