Rob Fenton is the best applicant + The manager's part

Hi guys,

today you first made a recap of last time's lesson about Rob Fenton's interview.

Here is what you said:

Rob Fenton applies for a job in a supermarket at week-ends. He is 16.

He's already worked in a library before. He's stacked shelves = he has work experience.

He's the best candidate because he lives near the supermarket; so he will never be late.

He's hard-working / polite / 'serious. He can wake up early in the morning (about 5:00 am). It's not a problem for him. He is an early bird.

He agrees with the wages (£5.50 an hour) even if it's low.

Then in the 2nd part of the hour, we worked on the manager's role and what you could say during a job interview. Here is what we said (in the right order):

- Hello, please come in. Have a seat.

- So, why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?

- Have you ever had a job before?

- Why are you interested in this job?

- We need someone who would be ready to work on Saturdays, would that be okay with you?

- I usually pay £5 an hour. Does that sound okay to you?

- Can you start next month?

- Well, we'll contact you by the end of the week.

- Thank you for coming in. Have a nice day, good bye!
