Problems created by the snow in France and throughout Europe

Hey,

today we first warmed up with what we could say about the difficult conditions that we have been facing for some days now. Here is what we said:

Negative points: 

- People have slept in their cars; they are exhausted.
- People have left their cars to go a hotel for the night
- People have been hurt
- People have fallen / slipped on ice
- Every transport in Northern Europe have stopped working.The situation has been critical / chaotic. = It has been a chaos / havoc.

Positive points: 

- The landscapes are more beautiful
- Children can make snowmen

Grammar! - Utiliser le present perfect pour exprimer un bilan, les conséquences de qqch:

- HAVE / HAS      +     p. passé (régulier = V-ed; irrégulier = à apprendre)
