Preparing your speech

Hi guys,

today was dedicated to building the outline of your speech. You could take Eva Longoria's speech as an example if you wanted to. Here it is again:

- Intro : Background

         1- Family

         2- Education

         3- Work

         4- Success

- DVPT: ternary and binary rhythm

         1- The American Dream (opportunity, hard work, success / optimistic, ambitious, hard-working

         2- Taxes and the economy (affordable, cut taxes, small businesses / dry cleaner, health

clinic, facebook competitor / raise tax, tax break / Wendy's, movie sets).

         3- The “whole” program: jobs, education, health reform, Dream Act, equal pay

- CCL: the American Dream

         1- opportunity and prosperity

         2- Amanda's story and the 13-year-old girl dreaming to become President

         3- Hispanic community: “Si se puede!” ( = yes, we can!)
