Pipedreams...

Hey guys,

today we started a new sequences entitled "Dreams". We began to study an opening document for this topic.

Here is what you have said about it so far:

What type:
 
This document is probably a poster for a lottery to win a car or an ad to promote an art exhibition.
What is certain is that it's a drawing with a luxurious car in the center.
We can't decide on the type of document for sure because there is no text, no caption, i.e. no information.
The document can be divided into 3 parts: the title at the top, a series of words on the right and the picture on the left.
 
Who?
 
It features 3 people: a couple on the right and a lone person on the left.
The couple may be two bankers who want to take the car away from the man because he is now poor.
He can't afford this car anymore; or they may be lawyers who will help him to get his car back.
 
How? He may be thinking: "I wish I could get my car back", "I wish I had money",... He is disappointed because his dream cannot come true.
It's a pipedream, i.e an impossible dream.

Symbol: The door in the gilded cage is difficult to see and therefore to open, i.e it's difficult to make his dream come true.
 
 
Voc:

a gilded cage => a cage made of gold.

HW:

- se préparer au contrôle de verbes irréguliers (1ère moitié de la liste) qui aura lieu vendredi (10 minutes)

- connaître sa leçon parfaitement (interrogation de début d'heure... si vous n'êtes pas volontaire ou si la personne à prendre la parole fait un exposé très moyen de l'image, je vous mettrai en devoir écrit...).
