Oliver Twist - the movie extract

Hi guys,

today we worked on the movie extract again. We tried to analyse the scene. Here is what we said:

It's dark because it takes place at night. In the 19th century, they didn't have lights and electricity. They only had candles.

It's also dark because it's scary and the children are like in a prison. They are like slaves.

The children are filmed with a low-angle shot whereas the children are filmed with a high-angle shot.

The adults look big and tall whereas the children look skinny and small.

The children are powerless whereas the adults are powerful.

Finally we began to work on a new document (comic strip) about what happened after Oliver Twist escaped.

Here is the correction for the 1st panel:

A boy was stealing the handkerchief when the shop owner saw him and called the police.
