English Day by Day is designed for school students to improve their performance in the English language.
Hi guys,
today we started to study a new theme thanks to the not-yet-released song by Rihanna entitled: "No Love Allowed" published in the pop star's latest album "Unapologetic".
You can listen to it again below:
Here is what we said about it so far:
This song is about love, a break up.
The singer compares it to a murder.
It's a metaphor to speak about her broken heart.
She says her boyfriend killed her when he broke up.
--------------------------
Chorus:
Like a bullet, your love hit me to the core.
I was flying when you knocked me to the floor.
It's so foolish of you keep me wanting more.
I'm screaming "murderer"!
"How could you murder us?"
I call it "murder"!
No love allowed...
Vocab:
- emergency / 911 / (to) hit / bullet / core /murder / murderer / not allowed / knocked out / foolish = stupid
