New Text about Ireland - "Guns"

Today,

we first displayed the posters with the rules of the English class. Here they read:

Class Rules

1- We are not allowed to speak with our friends

when the professor doesn’t agree

2- We are forbidden to speak French

3- We are not allowed to answer back

4- We are prohibited to eat in class

5- We are not allowed to use our phones

Consequences

If I break any of these rules once =

-> 1 hour of detention

If I break any of these rules twice =

-> I am excluded from the class

Then, we began working on a new text entitled "Guns".

We did some highlighting about the main ideas (who, where, when, what happens, how [feelings], ...) and we explained the new words a little.

Here is what you wrote in your copybooks:

HW: for next time, you need to prepare an oral presentation of the text with the elements you have in your copybook + learn your new vocabulary (there is going to be a test) + complete the 1st exercise of the worksheet.
