today we finished talking about modern Thanksgiving traditions.
Here is what we wrote:
Americans and Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving on the last Thursday of November:
- They eat a big meal with their families: they have turkey, squash, pumpkin pie, ...
- Many people watch the NFL football game and the commercials created for Thanksgiving.
- There is a big parade in New York City.
- The day after Thanksgiving is "Black Friday". It's a day of big sales / discounts.
The commercial:
The goal of the ad is to encourage kids to be more active ( = to do more sport) and to be more healthy.
