The speaker is from Scotland. He thinks mobile phones are a very handy invention. It's pratical/convenient. You can call for help when you are in troubleseven if/ even though you're in the mountains.
---> Nevertheless he says some scientistsclaim it can be dangerous for health and particularly for our brains. The waves of the mobiles may be a problem.
Vocabulary: waves = ondes (cf. micro-wave oven) Even if = même si.
Then we continued filling the blanks in the song by P!nk and here is what we said about the content: MEANING OF THE SONG:
The song deals with a critical / complicated situation / an ordeal / a personal hardship for the singer. She has to choose between her two parents. The family seems to be without problems whereas inside, it's destroyed. The singer compares her situation to "World War III". For her, it's like Hell / It's a nightmare.
HW: for next time, you need to find two lexical fields in the song, highlight them and give them a title + spot out alliterations and/or assonances that support the meaning of the song and explain why in your own words.
