Methodology : how to write an essay

Hey guys,

today we worked on how to improve your essays and above all, how to organize your ideas in a coherent way and really answer the question.

"Do you think that some internet services or websites should be banned / outlawed / forbidden?" (200 words)

Here is the introduction we made:

INTRO:  

          Present the topic: The internet is a useful tool and many people use it. You can access many sites with a lot of information.

          Present the question:  However in some countries where there are dictatorships some internet websites are banned. During the "Arab Spring" many sites were shut down because of the fear of free speech and rebellion.

              What are the dangers and is it a good thing to outlaw some websites?

          Present the organisation: First we will see why some websites should be restricted and then why some services should be completely forbidden.

                          (to) restrict access for underage children

                          a dictator -> a dictatorship

                          (to) control what people do/think and how they behave

                          (to) tell about the reality of their lives

- Facultatif: vous pouvez me rendre votre essai en incluant les idées que vous aviez précédemment mentionnées. Je vous compterai la note uniquement si elle fait progresser votre moyenne. Pour ceux qui n'ont encore rien rendu, je leur conseille vivement de rendre ce devoir facultatif, sans quoi je me verrai dans l'obligation de leur attribuer un zéro pour travail non fait.
