King Kong - An adaptation of the Heart of Darkness?

Hey,

today we first had a little chat about current issues in the US at the moment again. And here is what we said after viewing this document:

The document is a report about the failed terrorist attack which is said to have been performed by Al-Qaida.
The bomb was luckily defused after a street vendor tipped off the police.
President Barack Obama tried to reassure the population and threatened the terrorists in Louisiana.

Then we corrected the last exercises from your worksheet.

Finally, I had you watch an extract from the movie King Kong and we saw what parallel could be drawn between the movie and the novel "The Heart of Darkness". We particularly insisted on some vocabulary words describing the woman's face, screaming. Here are important vocabulary words:

"to be written by Amaury"

You can watch the extract again below:

"yet to be uploaded"

HW: don't forget your translation (l.1 to l.6) for Wed. and your written expressions for Tuesday. Continue the story. You can choose the point of view of the settlers or the point of view of the natives (200 words).

<br /> Thank you. Yes I know that it's the point of view of the natives but ...

<br /> <br /> Alright,<br /> <br /> <br /> so for the word "de la boue" in English, you should be able to find it easily in the dictionaries included on the site "reverso". But it doesn't seem to work tonight. So I'll give it to you; it's<br /> translated = "mud"<br /> <br /> <br /> As for your question about the subject, it can indeed be a memory but it will be really close to the continuation of the story (from the natives'<br /> point of view and not the settlers' this time).<br /> <br /> <br />  <br /> <br /> <br />  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
