How to write a dialogue and how to speak about clichés

Hey,

today we first had to talk about the oral exams because some of you hadn't understood what was to be done... I got really angry when I saw that nearly no one had done their homework for today...

When will you finally understand that you're not in kindergarden anymore and that you are seniors in highschool...? It's normal to have a lot of work and NOT TO COMPLAIN about it! Is that CLEAR!!

Now, then we worked on the text about Neil and his father, and Mr Keating again. Here is what we said about the idea that Neil's father may have about life and jobs:

The ideal jobs for Neil from the father's point of view:

Maybe the father wants Neil to become a banker; bankers are said to be rich. They make / earn a lot of money / dough**.
 

The job is said not to be secure / stable. 

Actors are said to have a short career.

They are thought to use drugs / be drug addicts.

They are believed to drink a lot.

 
= That's why Neil's father doesn't want his son to become an actor. He doesn't have a good idea of the job. He has prejudices against actors. 

Then we continued speaking about the text and more precisely about the attitudes of the characters in the text. We saw that with just a few words, we could understand a lot of things about how the characters feel. Here is the chart that we draw about the different ways to express feelings and attitude in a dialogue (verbes de discours, manière d'agir, autres compléments):

HW: find equivalents for the word "good" that can be used in the lesson (ex: good -> positive ...).
