How to express advice (recap) + phonetics

Hey,

today you first had to take a vocabulary test. I have noticed some of you didn't know a lot of words... that's just impossible. You won't be able to talk without vocabulary... Get to work and fast or you will sink... !

Here is a copy of the test:

Then we continued the class with a quick correction of the oral presentation of the mind map and the pieces of advice you could say:

Instead of driving alone, we should car pool.
We ought to avoid flying when possible and instead of using the plane, we had better use public transport.
To reduce your carbon footprint, you had better not use dryers. Instead of using electricity, you ought to use a clothes line.
At home, you had better turn off all appliances to the power point instead of leaving them on "sleep mode".
You should change your regular light bulbs and you ought to use energy-efficient ones.

Finally, we began a phonetic activity about the different pronunciations of the letter /a/ in words related to climate change. You can listen to the list of words again below:

HW: for next time, you need to complete exercise n°4 from your worksheet.

Files: Download the phonetic worksheet here.
