Hey,

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_NMUZfRr71Yk/SbGdgtqGhmI/AAAAAAAADPc/_GqWoJcuXLs/s400/JohnBPhoto_BeforeAfter.jpgtoday you first had to complete a listening test about junk food.

You can listen to it again here:

Then we continued our lesson with how to make a newspaper article. Here is what we said about it:

1. Headline
2. Catchphrase
3. Columns
4. Illustrations (pictures, drawing, graph, chart..)
5. Date of publication + name of newspaper
6. Name of the reporter/ journalist
7. Capital letters
8. Paragraphs
9. Statistics
10. Interview

Finally, we learned how to present a document. Here is what we said about the article:

The document is a newspaper article from Metro published on September, 16th 2010. It was written by D. Attevil. It is about obesity and more precisely the problems of plastic surgery. The picture depicts a man before and after he underwent surgery. We can see he has lost weight. However, he is now in pain / in agony when he eats. He suffers from his gastric band operation.

Voc: (to) undergo surgery - subir une opération

HW: you need to complete Q°6 from your worksheet for Friday, Oct. 8th: "Do you feel concerned about the junk food phenomenon? Why or Why not?" (100-150 words)

+ For Monday, Oct. 11th: you need to write a newspaper article thanks to the following worksheet:

Thanks Victor for the update.

Please make sure you fill in all the categories where your name stands and you correct your copybook, since there have been some mistakes in your report (ex: the US, people, ...).

And please, also make sure you always write all the new vocabulary in your copy books (ex: syn for "bizarre" that you forgot to write) + the explanation for the grammar points.

Take care,

Mr Hattais.
