today we first warmed up with a document about "freeganism". You can watch it below:

Here is what we said about it:

Then we continued to talk about the poem "Strange Fruit" and we particularly focused our comments on the contrast between the words, the lexical fields and the sounds. Here is what we said:

Warm up : Freeganism "Appearences can be deceiving". "Freeganism" is a movement of reaction against over-consumption and for the protection of the environment. The word is made from "free" and "vegan", a vegetarian diet. The man sorts out the garbage and runs his errands from the dumpster/ garbage container. He harvests lots of produce. He saves a lot of money ---> economic crisis. (10 000 a year). He invits his students to get committed/ involved to.

Monsieur, j'ai pas pu me rendre au lycée ce matin. La route que je prends et toute verglacée, même les trottoirs !!! Je me suis vautré en chemin par la même occasion. J'ai vraiment essayé, mais c'est impossible de faire un seul pas sans patiner.
