Eva Longoria's speech - The analysis

Hi guys,

today we worked on analysing Eva Longoria's speech.

Here is what we said:

Introduction:
- Family :
She speaks about her mother, her father, and her sister, and about herself.
- Education and work:
College is very expensive in the USA, so students have to work to pay for education. She says she did a lot of small jobs and she got a grant.
- Success:
After four years of hard work, she got her degree / diploma.


Development:
Projects of small businesses:
- She mentions Facebook's competitor, the building of a health clinic, dry cleaner.

She says Americans are:
optimistic, ambitious, and hard-working.

Conclusion:
She talks about the American dream again:
- opportunity, prosperity, hard work
She mentions the dream of a 13-year-old girl who wants to become president.
She speaks in Spanish ("Si se puede"), yes, we can!, to address the Hispanic community.
