today we first warmed up about the traditions and clichés in Ireland and here is what we said: Clichés about Ireland: Legend has it that / It is said that / there are leprechauns in Ireland who are at the bottom of the rainbow and bring luck to people with their pot of gold. It is said that Irish people are all red heads. It is believed that they love drinking beer and going to the pub. It is thought that the weather is cold and rainy. It is said that there are many sheep.
Then we continued studying the video from the BBC and here is what we said about it: The scene takes place in a classroom in Derry. In the background, we can see a mural from Derry. There are children (pupils) and teachers maybe. They are organising an art workshopin order to create a new mural. Bothsides of the community, Catholics and Protestants, participate in the project. It's collective work. The project is for peace: dialogue, discussion and mutual understanding are the way to go.
