Here is a report from the news channel Al Jazeera about the problems that the snow has created in Europe for the past few days:

a thick blanket of snow (une épaisse couche de neige)
disruption (les perturbations)
unprecedented conditions (des conditions sans précédent)
stranded at the airport (bloqué à l'aéroport)
knock-on effect (effet boule de neige)
delays (des retards)
schedule (le planning)
prevented ... from reaching their destinations (n'ont pas pu ... rejoindre leur destination)
preparedness (la préparation)

Yeah... I know I found it so good that I decided to steal you... and I will use the sound track tomorrow as a warm up (much needed) with some classes. I say sound track because I think I won't have access to a video projector... I wish I had my own like you... Take care, P.
