Correction of the translation - the end + Methodology: how to write a dialogue

Hey,

today you first took a vocabulary test which is far from being brilliant... then we corrected the end of your translation and you learned some other translation techniques. Here reads the correction:

Le généticien: J'ai pris le soin d'éradiquer toutes les maladies qui pourraient s'avérer handicapantes: la clavitie prématurée, la myopie, l'alcoolisme, la suceptibilité maladive, les prédispositions pour la violence et l'obésité...

Antonio (plus diplomate): Nous nous demandions s'il ne serait pas préférable de laisser le hasard faire certaines choses.

Le généticien (rassurant): Vous voulez offrir le meilleur départ possible à votre enfant. Croyez-moi, nous avons suffisamment d'imperfections à la base. Votre enfant n'a pas besoin qu'on lui rajoute des bâtons dans les roues. Et gardez en tête, cet enfant reste le vôtre, c'est simplement le meilleur de vous. Vous pourriez procréer par les voies naturelles des milliers de fois et ne jamais parvenir à un tel résultat.

HW: for next time, you need to transpose the text "Gattaca" from line 1 to line 24 into a real dialogue (not a script) and therefore insert some narrative parts explaining the characters' feelings and interactions. You will take your final test on Tuesday, Nov. 30th in the afternoon.
