today we worked on Charles Dickens's biography. You had to fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs.
Then we talked about the positive and negative aspect of his life. We concluded that he had a very difficult life on the whole.
Here is what we wrote:
He had a very difficult life.
He had to work in a factory because his family was poor.
He worked ten hours a day when he was twelve years old. He didn't go to school.
